4x400M
I thought this would be a walk in the park until I could taste blood and my lungs were yelling at me to stop. It`s only 1.6 kms which is no big deal until you run it as fast as you can with little recovery time! I borrowed yesterday`s WOD and hit the track tonight after work. My times were 1.52, 1.57, 2.04 and 2.04. I was strict with my 2.00 recovery times between rounds and didnt even stop for the Canadian national anthem which was played during my second run for the beginning of a soccer game at the field encircled by the track. I did manage to throw up a quick salute as I ran past the Canadian flag, as every good mountie should :) I felt the wind like a ton of bricks (as mentioned by Brandt and Jeff) bt it made me feel like I had to push harder to get through. A strange motivation. Thanks to my girl Meghan for joining me.

Awesome! I relate to your mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, it was a fun experience to run around the oval track. And on the other, it SUCKED because 400 meters is just plain far.
I'd like to do this one again.
Nice work Jill and great to have your friend Meghan join you in the pain. Those are some sweet times. Miss you.
