Windy Ride and a surprise trip Downtown.

Finally got to sleep in and was well rested for todays ride. 58.00 km on Rocky Mountain Solo 10. From Home to Dave`s then to Steve`s. Up 208th to 96 and through the Fort. Up Armstrong Hill and down Snake Hill. (Wouldnt want to go up Snake Hill!) Out River to 272 and turned around. Back through the Fort and had a quick shot of caffine. 96/100th to 208 and back home via 72nd/184/Fraser. Good ride. Friggin windy on the way back. Good pace of 24.45 until we hit Armstrong Hill. Ended up at 22.something.

A quick turnaround at home and was all dolled up (as good as I could get) and downtown by 5pm. Reception and banquet at the Police Leadership Conference at the Westin Bayshore. Post meal entertainment was by Wayne Brady. This guy is soooo talented and a thrill to watch. He used some of our very important leaders in his improv which made for a good laugh. I haven`t laughed that hard in a long time. Spent a good night at the Coast hotel (Westin didnt have any rooms left). What a day and all on short notice. I was spandex-clad and somewhere on River Road when I found out that I was going to Vancouver. The only thing that didnt work out was that I sacrificed Crossfit to go downtown. I figured after 58K on my bike, that it was a sacrifice I could live with :)

Ciao.
