I was so nervous to meet my friends for this benchmark work out. It was my first benchmark and I just wanted to make it through alive. As I watched almost everyone else go before me, my nerves settled and I was comforted by Hollies comment that it wasn`t as hard as it appeared to be. The results were pleasantly surprising.
Grace is comprised of 30 reps of `Get the bar off the gound and over your head however you can`, also known as Clean and Jerks at 85lbs. My time was 3.42 and I was thrilled because I was aiming for about 6.00!



Sterling was my spotter and my number one cheerleader. (Sorry if anyone else was cheering, I didn`t hear you, I was in the zone!) He made me do my first 10 straight but I took a quick breather at 8. Hollie got me a water which was much appreciated because I was dry. Sterling told me when I reached the half way point and when I had 10, 5 left. Knowing all that really helped me out and conquer the mental game. Near the end of my 30 I had Jeff yelling at me that I was on pace to get sub 4 so I pushed it hard because I just wanted to get it done. I blasted through the last 4. I could have gone faster but I didn`t know what I was getting into so I`m happy with my results and will push harder next time. More action shots:

On the way home I stopped at LSS and ran some bleachers. I ran up the steps and carefully ran down making sure not to jam my kne or slip and wipe out. One up and one down made for one rep, I think there were 20 steps in each direction.

It was hot and sunny and I had no one to motivate me but myself (which wasn`t happening) so I pulled the plug and called it a day.

Well done Jill! I found it hard to come up with a plan of attack since I've never done this WOD before but you get an idea how to approach it next time after steaming through that one!

Hey Girly, you did awesome yesterday! Thanks for the compliments but I want to do that thing again badly! It'll be fun to see what are times are when we do that workout again in a few months :)
