Crossfit pullups = successful barn ladder ascent.

Today was my first experience on the Public Safety Inspection Team. They target houses with super-high Hydro consumption. The focus is safety and not criminal charges so they post a notice at the house and come back 24 hours later, giving the occupants (usually renters) a chance to clear out the grow operation. I was surprised that we targeted three houses in one short block near 200th and 72nd. All three had grow operation remenants as the operations had been cleaned out over night. Crazy.
One of the places we inspected was in a barn. There was a room built inside the barn specifically for the grow. We had to climb a very steep ladder consisting of rickety wooden steps and wobbly plywood. It was a tough go both up and down- and I had to climb t twice. I used my Crossfit muscles to pull myself up into the fray. Im sure 6 months ago I wouldnt have been able to do it. I hate pullups but apparently they pay off :)

So, down to business. Today`s WOD looked like this:
7 Rounds
5 - Deadlifts 315/155lbs
7 - Weighted dips 45lb/20lb
1 - Rope climb
200m row
I loved the 200m row except for the 5th round when I raced Jesse. Why do I do that to myself? I always loose and end up sucking air for the rest of the work out. Oh well. The dead lifts were good even though my Chiro told me not to dead lift until my back recovered but I figured it was a light enough weight. I`m sure he won`t read my blog so I should be safe :) Overall, a great class and a good time had by all.

Back to work tomorrow for more good times and sunshine :)
