Burpee Challange- Enforcer Edition

Peer pressure. What can I say? I succumbed to it. Today I did my benchmark 100 burpees. God, I HATE those things! An un-impressive 15:30 but what the hell, it can only get better from there! After the first 10, I was on pace for a 10 minute total. That didn`t last long :) At the end I was doing 6 per minute, then I slowed down.

I`m not going to do this one, two, three per day thing. My plan is differnt. Ambitious.

I want to do 100 per day, or per workout (maybe 5 times per week, depending on shift work)
Every day I will improve on my time. Within one week I want to be down to15:00.

I learned that it`s much faster to do burpees properly that it is to lift each leg seperately and NO KNEES on the pushup. I did 95% of my burpees with no knees. Admitedly, my pushups wern`t the deepest. I felt winded after the first 50 and broke them up into sets of 10, then sets of 5. I wish I had someone yelling at me to keep going, ignore my water and towel and not mess with the CD player (Thank goodness for Madonna and Justin Timberlake!) but I needed the extra seconds to catch my breath. The only thing that motivated me was someone walking his dog nearby and me not wanting to look like the winded sack of flesh that I was.

After the burpees I did the following:
20 Weighted Walking Lunges (KB`s at 16Kgs and 24Kgs)
20 KB swings 16Kgs
20 Situps

Shower, wine, blog and sleep. In that order :)

I thought I was crazy for agreeing to this challange, but 100/day 5X week off the bat?

Oh I get it, you've been spending too much time in the evidence room with all that siezed pot.

Haha how did you know about the pot? 42 plants on Tuesday afternoon and my whole uniform needs dry cleaning :)

500 burpees a week! Are you nuts?! Lets do the math on that just for SH$tS and giggles! 5x100=500 per week x14 weeks=7000 Burpees! Wow!

Yip the BC Bud has done a fine job of scrambling your brains, I concur your nuts! Good luck though!
